It is with much regret and sadness that circumstances beyond our control have forced us to cancel the 2022 Berwang International Holiday Music Course.

Spiralling costs, the aftermath of covid, and now the international political situation, which is so concerning to all of us and will almost certainly continue well in the summer, have resulted in hesitancy amongst potential participants mean the course is not musically or financially viable.

There has been a music course in Berwang since 1957 and in 2020, when we expected to hold out final course, we anticipated a course of over 70 participants. It is therefore hugely disappointing not to be able to replicate that in 2022 and go out on a high this year.

Following the great success of ‘Berwang in Britain’ in 2021, we hope that we will be able to announce another such course in 2023. That will provide us with an opportunity to celebrate over half of century of music-making in Berwang. Watch this space!

Berwang in Britain 2023

In the summer of 2023 we will be holding a Berwang in Britain course. This course is for singers and instrumentalists. In addition to intensive music making there will be some free time to explore the local area.
