One of the most pleasurable aspects of the Berwang Holiday Music Course is that, with music being an internationally-understood language, we are able to welcome musicians from all over the world.  In many cases, the coming together in Berwang has led to the establishment of very good friendships, with members visiting each other in different parts of the world.

In recent years, we have been delighted to welcome students from the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts: for example, two bassoon players; in 2000, a string quartet and oboist, and in 2001, a string quartet and clarinettist.  As an added bonus we, and the local villagers, were fascinated to hear Chinese music performed by one group – and in their national costume.

Also over the past few years, an American family (boasting three horn players!) has joined us, as have others from the USA and Europe.
