The Berwang Holiday Music Course is based at the Hotel Singer in Berwang, Tyrol.  Our hosts at the Hotel, Günter and Gerti Singer, with hotel manager Christa Herndler, start us off on the right note (!) with a welcome cocktail party, and send us on our way with a farewell drinks party on the final evening. 

Günter Singer and his hotel have been associated with the Berwang Holiday Music Course as far back as 1966.  He, his family (son Florian is also pictured) and staff have played a vital and valuable role in providing accommodation; organizing the playing venues for our music-making; hiring instruments; and putting on very lavish gala dinners and special parties to celebrate Berwang Holiday Music Course anniversaries.  

Wherever course members are accommodated, all have full access to all the facilities of the Hotel Singer, which is a 4-star, Relais-Chateaux hotel.  The amenities include bars, a large balconied lounge, fitness area (including jetted bath, sauna, sun bed and exercise equipment), terrace for eating or drinking, and Stub'n – particularly popular for evening entertainments or 'specials' organized by the Hotel or ourselves, on evenings when we have no concerts.  The Hotel package of entertainments usually includes:

Kitchen party;

Happy hours;

Tyrolean evening;

Zither & Jodel evening;

Special dinners; and, on a suitably fine morning, a typical al fresco breakfast, preceded by a 30-45-minute, appetite-building walk along a low mountain path through woodland.
